EasyPave vs TrueGrid Case Study | Vodaland Canada

During our research, we initially looked at a product called TrueGrid. However, we quickly hit a major roadblock: the amount of site preparation required. Their system needed up to five inches of base layer. On our hard, rocky ground, excavating that much material just didn't make sense. When you look closely at the design of other products, you can see why they require so much extra work to stay stable.

That is when we reached out to Vodaland Canada to discuss the EasyPave Paver System. What caught our attention was the "lily pad" design on the bottom of the grids. This specialized base is engineered to distribute weight so effectively that it requires minimal base layer preparation—and in our case, almost none at all.

The installation process

As you can see from our project photos, the process was incredibly straightforward. Instead of digging out five inches of rock, all we did was spread a thin layer of soil over the existing ground to level out the uneven spots. We then installed the EasyPave grids directly over that surface.

The results

The finished result actually exceeded our expectations. Not only does the parking area look professional and clean, but the total project cost was significantly lower than the competition, especially when you factor in the money we saved on excavation and base materials.

We have been using the parking pad for six months now, through shifting weather and heavy vehicle use, and it is holding up perfectly. We could not be happier with the outcome and highly recommend the EasyPave Grid from Vodaland for anyone dealing with difficult terrain.
