Commercial channel drains
WHAT EXACTLY DOESÂ PRO MEAN?
The difference between Base plastic and Pro plastic trench drains is how much load they can carry. Class D and higher are considered Pro and designed to carry very heavy loads, such as pallet trucks, forklifts, heavy machinery, etc.
What is the length of each trench drain?
All Vodaland trench drains are 1-meter (3.28ft) lengths. Trench drains can be connected together for longer runs, and units can be cut to match specific sizing requirements.
Is the titled width an internal or external dimension?
The titled widths represent the internal width of channel, and the same applies to the depth sizes shown for each channel. External dimensions vary for each type of channel, and customers can view external dimensions through the spec drawings provided on each product page.
How do I connect the trench drains together?
We design all of our trench drain channels to be connectable with each other via male-to-female connections. Depending on model, your trench drain may either “click” together, or simply fit together for connection. It is very important that all connections are silicone sealed.
How do I connect piping?
For piping, Vodaland designs our channels with outlets options on the bottom, sides, and ends. These outlets can be attached to 4” Schedule 40 PVC with an adapter we sell separately. If other piping is to be used, we recommend connecting them to the outlets via rubber couplings which are sold externally.
Do these need to be encased in concrete?
Vodaland recommends that all our trench drains be encased in concrete for best reliability. Certain scenarios may not allow for the use of concrete, and in those cases customers may change the recommended installation method at their own discretion.
What is the max/min temperatures that the plastic channel can handle?
Our plastic trench drains are suitable for temperatures between -40 to +45 degrees Celsius. Our installation method accounts for seasonal temperature changes through the use of expansion joints.
Do your trench drain channels have slope?
Our trench drain channels are neutral, meaning no slope. For most small-to-medium scale projects, slope isn’t fully necessary. For those who require a slope, you can create a cascade system of multiple channel depths to create an artificial slope for your run. Cascade systems can be complicated, so we recommend confirming with a Vodaland employee that you have purchased the right system.
Available load classes for our 4" Pro trench drain:
Load Class D - Highway road traffic and standard commercial equipment
Load Class E - Heavy-duty road traffic and heavy-duty commercial equipment

Pro trench drains differ from BASE series trench drains in the features that allow for higher load classes.
Pro trench drains feature outside steel reinforcement frames for additional support, and the grates are a ductile cast iron with heavy duty fasteners to prevent the grates from shifting while handling loads.
Our Pro (commercial/industrial) trench drains feature different sizes and depths of PPE plastic channel with steel reinforced edges and bolted ductile cast iron grating for short and medium runs. They can be easily connected with our Drive PolyMax inline sand trap basins.
If you are dealing with heavy-duty loads, our industrial trench drains are the best choice due to their unbeatable durability, strength, and cost-savings.
Our Pro channels are neutral (non pre-slopped) and it requires a slope, we are offering cascade installation method connecting channels with different depth inline which will create an artificial slope. Contact us for help with a cascade installation.

Let's figure out how many channels you need.
Lets figure out the sq ft of your project.
Remember to round up for the sq ft packages. We recommend purchasing 10% overage of your square footage to ensure dimensions are matched.
