Residential driveway and garage drain system
If you need a drain for your detached garage, especially near the garage door on a concrete floor, our channel drain system is an ideal solution. Designed to withstand residential vehicle loads and handle everyday garage chemicals, it offers durability and reliability. The channel drain easily connects end-to-end, creating a seamless linear drainage system. With built-in 90-degree connections, there’s no need for adapters, allowing you to install a more complex drainage system if required. If water isn’t draining properly, the system can be integrated with a sump, providing efficient water management for all residential applications and load requirements. Vodaland manufactures these high-quality drainage systems, ensuring top performance and flexibility for any project.
What is the length of each trench drain for garage?
All Vodaland garage trench drains are 1-meter (3.28ft) lengths. Sections of trench drain can be connected together for longer runs, and units can be cut to match specific sizing requirements.
Is the title width an internal or external dimension?
The width categories represent the internal width of the channel, and the same applies to the depth sizes shown for all drain bodies. External dimensions vary for each type of channel, and customers can view external dimensions through the spec drawings provided on each product page.
How do I connect the trench drains for garage together?
We design all of our garage trench drain channels to be connectable with each other via male-to-female connections. Depending on model, your residential driveway trench drain may either “click” together, or simply fit together for connection. It is very important that all connections are silicone sealed for proper water flow and drainage capabilities.
How do I connect piping?
For piping, Vodaland designs our channels with outlet options on the bottom, sides, and ends. These outlets can be attached to 4” Schedule 40 PVC with an adapter we sell separately. If other piping is to be used, we recommend connecting them to the outlets via rubber couplings which are sold externally.
Do these need to be encased in concrete?
Vodaland recommends that all our residential driveway trench drains be encased in concrete for the most durable drains. Certain scenarios or types of garage floor may not allow for the use of concrete, and in those cases customers may change the recommended installation method at their own discretion.
What are the max/min temperatures that the plastic driveway drainage channel can handle?
Our plastic garage floor drainage systems are suitable for temperatures between -40 to +45 degrees Celsius. Our installation method accounts for seasonal temperature changes through the use of expansion joints.
Do your trench garage floor drain channels have slope?
Our linear trench drain channels are available in both no-slope and pre-slope to provide flexible solutions for all entire driveway or garage floor drainage systems
Should I put garage floor drainage in my garage/driveway?
Having a garage or driveway trench drain is recommended for all applications, and can be a necessity depending on your driveway or garage setup. If these surfaces are sloped towards the home, runoff water will be directed to your garage, and there’s a chance of water accumulation within the garage. If this happens, there is a high risk of damage to property.
