Trench drain for warehouses
A heavy-duty warehouse drainage system to allow for frequent commercial traffic and heavy-loaded vehicles such as tractor trailers, forklifts, etc. All our warehouse trench drain systems easily connect end-to-end to create a line (linear drainage system). Channels are equipped with built-in 90-degree connections on each side (no need for adapters). This allows you to build a more complex system than just a single line. Our range of drainage solutions with multiple grating options and load ratings provide you more flexibility in the look and design of your surface drainage systems. Best used for industrial units, loading bays, distribution and warehouse, manufacturing facilities, logistics facilities, chemical facilities, and all other commercial applications.
What is the length of each trench drain for warehouses?
All Vodaland warehouse trench drains are 1-meter (3.28ft) lengths. Trench drains can be connected together for longer runs, and units can be cut to match specific sizing requirements.
Is the title width an internal or external dimension?
The titled width of our trench drain for warehouses represents the internal width of the actual drain channel, and the same applies to the depth sizes shown for each channel. External dimensions vary for each type of channel, and customers can view drain size through the spec drawings provided on each product page.
How do I connect the trench drains together?
We design all of our trench drain for warehouses to be connectable with each other via male-to-female connections. Depending on the model, your trench drain solution for the warehouse may either “click” together, or simply fit together for connection. It is very important that all connections are silicone sealed.
How do I connect piping?
For piping, Vodaland designs our channels with outlet options on the bottom, sides, and ends. These outlets can be attached to 4” Schedule 40 PVC with an adapter we sell separately. If other piping is to be used, we recommend connecting them to the outlets via rubber couplings which are sold externally.
Do these need to be encased in concrete?
Vodaland recommends that all our warehouse drainage systems be encased in concrete for reliable drainage that meets building codes. Certain scenarios may not allow for the use of concrete, and in those cases customers may change the recommended installation method at their own discretion.
What are the max/min temperatures that the plastic channel can handle?
Our plastic trench drain material is suitable for temperatures between -40 to +45 degrees Celsius. Our installation method accounts for seasonal temperature changes through the use of expansion joints.
Do your trench drain channels have a slope?
Our industrial drainage for warehouses is available in both sloped and no-slope options to provide flexible solutions for all industrial properties and applications.
What are Distribution and Warehouse Drainage Systems?
Commercial properties require water collection in many applications caused by machines, vehicles with heavy loads, and for a variety of other drainage issues. For this reason, many industrial facilities install extra heavy-duty drains that can deal with heavy loads while also allowing for high water flow and volume.
How to clean a commercial trench drain for warehouses?
Commercial grade trench drains are often collecting liquids filled with debris and sediment, which should be separated from the liquid to prevent blocked drains. That is why for proper drainage care, it is recommended to install a combined drainage system of both commercial grade trench drains and catch basins. With both installed, cleaning is as simple as hosing the contents of your channels down to the catch basin and then removing the debris basket with the filled contents. This only needs to be done every so often, depending on the volume of debris and sediment that your drain collects.
