Parking Lot Catch Basins
Protect your parking lot from flooding and surface damage with Vodaland’s Catch Basins, designed for high-performance stormwater management. Engineered to collect and redirect large volumes of water, they integrate seamlessly with trench drains, slot drains, and permeable pavers for a complete drainage system. Built from durable, weather-resistant materials, our basins are designed to withstand heavy traffic loads and harsh conditions. Easy to install and low-maintenance, Vodaland delivers reliable drainage solutions trusted by contractors, engineers, and property managers nationwide.
What are the catch basins made of?
Our basins are constructed from high-density Polypropylene (PP) plastic, engineered to withstand the weight of heavy vehicles and the corrosive effects of road salts, oils, and automotive fluids. Internal baskets are available in reinforced PPE or galvanized metal, providing a heavy-duty solution for catching large debris before it enters your plumbing system.
What load class do I need for my parking lot or garage?
In these environments, load class is critical for safety. Most commercial parking lots and garages require a minimum of C-Class (25 tons) to support SUVs, delivery trucks, and maintenance vehicles. For loading docks or high-turn areas, an E-Class or F-Class may be necessary. Use our load class guide to ensure your installation meets local building codes:

How does the stackable basin system work?
For commercial sites where drainage pipes are buried deep to avoid frost lines or existing utility runs, our stackable basin system is the ideal solution. Basins can be stacked vertically to reach your required depth. Simply remove the floor of the upper unit to create a deep-sump chamber, and apply a professional-grade silicone seal between units to ensure a leak-proof connection that won't compromise the sub-base of your asphalt or concrete.
How do I maintain and clean my basin?
Commercial maintenance is straightforward: lift the heavy-duty grate and empty the internal debris basket. This prevents gravel, trash, and silt from clogging your main lines. For garages, we recommend a "scoop or vacuum" approach to remove fine sediment and sludge that accumulates from vehicle runoff. Regular inspection—especially after heavy storms or winter salt applications—is key to preventing localized flooding.
Where are these catch basins typically used?
These units are designed for high-traffic areas including parking lots, commercial parkades, gas stations, and warehouse floors. They are strategically placed to manage large volumes of stormwater runoff or indoor wash-down water. In commercial settings, they serve a dual purpose: preventing surface flooding that could lead to liability issues and acting as a primary filter to keep debris out of municipal sewer systems.
