Pool & Patio Catch Basins

Protect your poolside and patio areas from flooding and water damage with Vodaland’s Catch Basins. Designed to efficiently collect and redirect excess water, they keep your outdoor spaces safe, dry, and enjoyable year-round. Built from durable, weather-resistant materials, these basins seamlessly integrate with trench drains and slot drains for a complete drainage solution. Easy to install and low-maintenance, Vodaland delivers reliable performance without compromising the look of your outdoor living spaces.

What are catch basins made of?

Our basins are constructed from a high-quality Polypropylene (PP) plastic, specifically chosen for its durability and resistance to pool chemicals like chlorine and salt. The internal debris baskets are available in PPE plastic or galvanized metal, depending on the basin size and your specific drainage needs.

What load class do I need for my pool deck or patio?

For most residential patios, pool decks, and pedestrian walkways, an A-Class (Pedestrian) or B-Class (Light Vehicular) rating is standard. However, if your patio doubles as a driveway or needs to support heavy maintenance equipment, you may need a higher rating. To ensure you choose the right strength for your surface, visit our load class guide:

How does the stackable basin system work?

If your patio project requires a deeper drainage point—perhaps to reach a deeper outlet pipe or to increase water capacity—our basins are fully stackable. Simply stack the units vertically and remove the floor of the upper basin to allow water to flow into the bottom unit. We recommend applying a silicone sealant between the sections to ensure a 100% leak-proof connection beneath your stonework.

How do I maintain and clean my basin?

To keep your patio dry and prevent clogs, simply lift the grate and empty the internal debris basket periodically. This removes leaves, grass clippings, and patio debris before they enter your main drainage lines. You can also use a scoop or vacuum to remove any fine sediment at the bottom. The frequency depends on your local landscape—usually, a quick check at the start of pool season and after the leaves fall in autumn is sufficient.

Where are these catch basins typically used?

In a residential setting, these basins are strategically placed in low spots on pool decks, patios, and outdoor kitchens to prevent standing water. They are essential for protecting your landscaping from runoff and ensuring that heavy rain doesn't flood your outdoor living space. While common in urban areas, our pool-grade basins are specifically designed to blend into high-end residential stonework and pavers.
